Driving Instructor Training
Driving Instructor Training & ADI CPD is often heavy on the advertising and light on the information - there is lots of information on the internet about ADI training, with helpful forums (Driver Training Today, 2pass, and the ADI forum) which can help you gain a realistic picture of how the business works.
Driving instructor training is very lightly regulated at the moment, with little to stop an average ADI from advertising instructor training alongside their learner driving lessons. To be sure of at least a minimum standard you should always research your training provider through either personal recommendation or at the very least the forums.
ADI training does have the ORDIT register, ensuring that providers have met the minimum standards needed to provide the training. However, be aware that some large training organisations use the ORDIT badge though not all of their trainers have passed through the registration process.
