Speed Awareness
Speed Awareness Courses are often necessary for companies to ensure that their employees can continue to work effectively for them. With the increase in speed cameras, unfamiliar roads can easily become a problem for drivers who don’t recognise speed limits effectively.
Speed awareness courses are geared towards a higher awareness of the speed limits of individual roads, recognising types of road and understanding how to stay on the right side of the law.
Training can be tailored to your needs - individual drivers deal with speed in different ways. These courses can help you keep your most effective employees working for you. If you have employees who have received points on their licenses whilst driving on work related business, you have a duty of care to ensure that they are safe and can continue to do their job and avoid excessive insurance premiums or even a driving ban.
Venue:
This is usually your own premises, though conference facilities can be arranged.
Duration:
Dependant upon training needs. Individual drivers whose profile suggests they are at risk (already have points, or have aquired points during work related driving) would normally take between a half and a full day of training - dependent upon their risk profile.
For companies who wish to change an ethos of speeding before problems occur, up to 4 drivers can be trained per day.
Cost:
Around £300/day.
Benefits:
If drivers are encouraged to use the training on an ongoing basis, then there should be cost savings of around double the cost of the course. Many of the benefits of speed awareness cannot be quantified - could you afford to lose some of your best employees through a driving ban?
