LANTRA Professional Off Road Driving – 2 Day
Off road driving courses will help you or your drivers to risk assess off road tracks and trails, as well as improving driver efficiency by introducing professional techniques and fulfil your H&S requirements.
4×4 vehicles are classed as specialist equipment – as such they fall under the PUWER regulations (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations), as well as the usually H&S at work regulations which apply to company car drivers. (Whether they are used off road or not, the regulations still apply – drivers of 4×4 capable vehicles must be trained in their use.)
The LANTRA course and certification are designed to ensure that your drivers understand how to safely use their vehicles in the way that they are intended to be used. It also includes specific training regarding regulations surrounding off road vehicles. Safe and effective off road driving techniques are learnt to enable drivers to make the most of their vehicles.
Venue:
This must be a LANTRA approved site.
Duration:
2 Days for new off road drivers.
For 4×4 drivers who have a high level of experience, or who have previously qualified through LANTRA or another 4×4 training provider we may recommend the LANTRA Experienced Operator 1 day course.
Cost:
Dependant upon training needs – between £350 and £600 per candidate.
Accreditation:
LANTRA qualification as a professional off road driver. This qualification is valid for 5 years.
Benefits:
Successful candidates will have fulfilled their required H&S training for off road capable vehicles. They will understand the best techniques for driving over a variety of terrains, making them more efficient.
